5 killed, officer injured in Colorado shooting spree
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) – Five people are dead after a series of shootings Monday night in Denver and Lakewood, including one that sent an officer to the hospital.
Two women were killed and one man was injured in the first shooting in Denver, near First Avenue and Broadway, Chief Paul Pazen said. Then, another man was killed in a shooting a few miles away near 12th Avenue and Williams Street.

Man dies in shooting on North Capital Street in Suffolk
SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A man died in a shooting Monday on North Capital Street in Suffolk.
Police said the shooting happened in the 100 block of North Capital Street in the Jericho area. It was reported around 8:50 p.m.

Shooting of an officer by a 14-year-old comes on the heels of a rough week for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police
CHARLOTTE (FOX 46 CHARLOTTE) — The sight of the crime scene tape at an east Charlotte apartment complex was overshadowed by the sheer amount of police cruisers Monday morning, after an officer was shot while trying to apprehend a 14-year-old larceny suspect.
The incident comes on the heels of a rough week for officers. Last week, one of their own was killed and three others were injured while assisting in an accident investigation on Interstate 85.
