Is it possible to charge batteries through an iPhone screen? Apple is giving it a shot for its iPhones and iPads

For those who love fancy new technology and for fans of Apple iPhone, iPad and other gadgets, here is some great news! According to a new patent published on the US Patent & Trademark Office portal, Apple may soon enable a functionality that will transform your iPhone screen into a battery charger! Yes, iPhone screen battery charger may soon become a reality! So, to charge your Apple accessories, all you have to do is place them on the iPhone screen. While this is certainly exciting, the iPhone battery charger feature may have a drawback of sorts- it will be functional in one section of the screen, leaving only the other part for use. However, it’s unclear whether the screen’s charging area would show anything at all while the accessories are being charged. In any case a large part of the area will not be accessible simply because the accessory is placed on top of the iPhone screen.

Also, only accessories charging may be allowed by the so-called “Through-Display Wireless Charging” patent. If Apple implements this patent on its popular products like iPhone and iPad, you will be able to charge items like earbuds, smartwatches, and styluses through the screens instead of some other smart devices. You need to note here that in order to charge using the wireless charging screen, the appropriate accessories must also support wireless charging.

This feature will come in handy in the situation when your accessories may run out of battery and when you are outside the home, or if you forget to bring your charger. Using this feature you will be able to charge them, for instance in the case of your Apple iPods you can simply place it on the screen of your iPhone or iPad to charge it. Right now, you can charge your second-generation Apple Pencil wirelessly, but you need to attach it to the right side of your iPad to do it.

Apple may bring this too for you…

In a separate series of leaks and rumours about the next Apple’s smartphone iPhone 14, it is suggested that the next-generation iPhone will be without a SIM slot, and will only be equipped with an eSIM option. Also this will support the two eSIM cards, allowing for dual SIM functionality.

There have been rumours that Apple is aiming to remove the Lightning port from its devices, and if the company also ditches the physical SIM card slot, it will go a step further in terms of bringing a seamless design to you along with the improved water resistance.

Though, all the speculations about the iPhone 14 are from the different leaks and there is not concrete evidence to prove them. Even the recently surfaced Apple accessories charging via iPhones and iPads, isn’t officially announced by the tech giant yet. All we can do right now to keep ourselves updated as more details are going to surface online in the upcoming months.
