NBA: Phoenix Suns vs Chicago Bulls Prediction & Match Preview
On Monday at the United Center, the Phoenix Suns will take on the Chicago Bulls, two of the top teams in the NBA. It will be the two clubs’ first meeting of the season. After dismantling the Washington Wizards, Phoenix is back on the winning track. Before being ambushed by the Atlanta Hawks in their previous game, the Suns were on an 11-game winning streak. They’ll be trying to keep their winning streak going against a depleted Windy City squad.
The Chicago Bulls were defeated by Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers sans Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, and Lonzo Ball. With a game-high 45 points, DeMar DeRozan was once again exceptional, but he was unable to lead the team to victory.
The Chicago Bulls’ defence was expected to struggle without Ball and Caruso, two of its toughest and most impactful defenders. The Bulls enabled the 76ers to shoot 50% from three-point range without those two hounding the perimeter. Chicago will have to play with more accuracy against a squad that thrives on it on both ends of the floor.
Phoenix Suns Preview
It’s virtually impossible not to perform a double-take when the Phoenix Suns lose this season. They quickly rebounded from their setback to Trae Young and the Hawks with a hammering of the Wizards. Devin Booker battled all night, but he still had a two-way impact.
Against the Wizards’ lackadaisical defence, DeAndre Ayton was practically unstoppable in the paint. Ayton had a double-double with 20 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. On his way to six offensive rebounds for the Phoenix Suns, the 23-year-old centre lorded it over the boards. Chris Paul led the Phoenix Suns’ offence yet again, finishing with 14 points, nine assists, and one turnover.
Phoenix Suns Predicted Lineup

Chicago Bulls Preview
DeMar DeRozan was noticeably disappointed after the team’s loss to the 76ers in Philadelphia. If the Bulls had won, Billy Donovan, the head coach of the Chicago Bulls, would have coached the Kevin-Durant All-Star team. That accolade currently belongs to Erik Spoelstra, the Miami Dolphins’ bench coach.
During the absences of Alex Caruso, Lonzo Ball, and Zach LaVine, the Chicago Bulls have discovered some diamonds in the rough. With their senior defensive mainstays already sidelined for multiple games, rookie Ayo Dosunmu has been a revelation for the Bulls.
Dosunmu’s defence is his calling card, but he’s already demonstrating his offensive abilities. His scoring has remained consistent, but his playmaking has proven to be a nice surprise. The gung-ho combo guard finished with seven assists, which he shared with DeRozan for the team lead. Against the Phoenix Suns’ great backcourt, the Chicago Bulls will rely on him even more.
Chicago Bulls Predicted Lineup
G – Ayo Dosunmu | G – DeMar DeRozan | F – Javonte Green | F – Troy Brown Jr. | C – Nikola Vucevic
Suns vs Bulls Match Prediction
Due to back spasms, the Chicago Bulls will likely be without LaVine on the second night of a back-to-back. Meanwhile, the Phoenix Suns will open with the majority of their starting lineup and might extend their winning streak against the Bulls.
