A woman whose car was submerged in standing water was rescued by quick-thinking officers and an off-duty firefighter.
Sergeant Fawson and Trooper Saiz with the Utah Highway Patrol were able to successfully save the woman.
The rescue was caught on camera and can be watched below:
The car the woman was driving became submerged in a pool of freezing water along Interstate 80 earlier this month.
With the help of an off-duty firefighter, the driver was rescued and able to get medical attention quickly.
UHP said the temperatures that day were “freezing” but thanks to the quick response, the woman driver was saved.
