WENATCHEE – NCW Libraries and Confluence Health have joined to offer a virtual health living series this spring.
The series features an introduction to healthy living, weight loss, sleep, and cancer prevention and screening, and runs at 7 p.m. Wednesdays from April 13 to May 25.
A Confluence representative will lead the presentations, followed by question-and-answer sessions.
The series will include:
-April 13 – “An Intro to Health Living” with Katie Mathews, PAC.
-April 20 – “Depression, More Than Just the Blues,” with Kasey Grass, behavioral health integrated clinical director.
-April 27 – “Cover Your Butt: Colon Cancer Prevention and Screening,” with Dr. Jen Jorgensen, director of subspeciality medicine and manager of gastroenterology.
-May 4 – “A Healthy Approach to Weight Loss,” with Dr. Andrew Toth and nutritionist Jess Tyrell.
-May 11 – “Better Sleep,” with Dr. Ankur Patel.
-May 18 – “Don’t Take My Breath Away: Prevention and Screening for Lung Cancer,” with Dr. Saba Lodhi.
-May 25 – “Save Your Rack: The Prevention and Treatment of Breast Cancer,” with Dr. Julie Smith and Dr. Cate Straub.
